As one of the largest sports club on campus, Cal Archery allows every student to experience different types of archery.
About
Archery Club members, from beginners to seasoned members, come to club practices to work on techniques, free shoot, or simply hang out with friends. California Archery is dedicated to teaching students from the ground up to shoot competitively, while also creating space for both competitive and recreational archers.
For those who are interested in becoming better archers, the club holds a weekly Sunday morning training class called ASCENT. ASCENT lasts throughout the duration of a semester, and covers everything from learning correct stance when shooting, to exploring all of the different archery divisions available. Additionally, California Archery hosts the Archery Decal for students interested in learning the fundamentals of archery whilst also earning academic units. For more information about the Archery Decal, please visit the Decal website.
California Archery has a rich history of developing talented athletes. In 2013, California Archery was awarded 10 individual honors and 6 team awards. The Cal Archery team has consistently placed within the top 3 teams in the Western Collegiate Region for Outdoor Archery Season. The team won National Outdoor Collegiate Championships in 2017 in both the Male and Female Team Barebow division.
