UC Berkeley Youth Recreation requires all youth participants to be up-to-date with all immunizations before they can attend programs and camps.

Vaccine Requirements

All Youth Participants must be up-to-date with their immunizations in accordance with the below-listed immunization schedule in order to attend UC Berkeley Youth Recreation programs and camps. Youth Participants who do not meet this requirement will have their registration voided. Refunds will be subject to UC Berkeley Youth Recreation Withdrawal policies. UC Berkeley Youth Recreation requires that updated immunization records be uploaded into your children’s CampDoc profile at the time of registration.

Campers: Children of all ages must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This means that they must have received their:

  1. Be up to date with approved COVID vaccines, including the most recent booster
  2. OR Parents must submit a signed signed declination)

Before campers arrive on site, you must update Immunization Records in the CampDoc health profile for each camper in your household, including COVID-19 vaccination records or qualifying exemption.

The CDC strongly recommends COVID vaccination for everyone aged six months or older, including at least one dose of the 2023-2024 updated COVID-19 vaccines: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Novavax, to protect against serious illness from COVID-19. How do you show proof of vaccination? 

Any one of the following documentation accompanied by photo ID will be accepted documentation: 

  • A Vaccination Card issued by the CDC or a foreign governmental jurisdiction which includes the name of the person vaccinated, the type of vaccine provided, and the date(s) the dose or doses were administered;
  • A photo or copy of a Vaccination Card either as a hardcopy or stored on a phone or electronic device; or
  • A personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California and available by going to myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov or similar documentation issued by another state, local, or foreign governmental jurisdiction.
