Ultimate is a sport that combines running, jumping and coordination, as opposing teams attempt to move the disc upfield and score in end zones on a football-like field by passing among open teammates.
About
Cal Men’s Ultimate is a D1 Ultimate Frisbee team that competes at high-level tournaments in California and the rest of the US. Cal Men’s Ultimate prides itself on a well built culture of togetherness, competitiveness and fun! The team also has a strong tradition for success, placing 11th, 5th and 2nd at Nationals in past seasons, and earned trips to Nationals in 2019 and 2022. Cal players succeed at the highest level of Ultimate; current and former players have joined the ranks of professional and top-tier club teams such as Polar Bears, Revolver and the Oakland Spiders. The team is coached by Dan Silverstein, the head coach of the Oakland professional team. Practices are usually at Memorial Stadium or Maxwell Field. Come out to tryouts! All athletes are welcome. No prior frisbee experience necessary.
