The pool is 25 yards long with 18 lanes and water that is kept at 79-80 degrees F.
Facility Overview
Spieker is used for lap swimming, team practice, swim meets and water polo matches. Amenities include locker rooms, hot showers, swimsuit spinners, kickboards, a pool lift for those needing assistance getting into the pool, and wheelchair access to locker rooms.
Who Can Use It?
To access Spieker pool, you must be a UC Berkeley student or have an active RecWell membership. We are not offering memberships or day passes to community members at this time. Please continue to check our Program & Services Update page for more information about our current operations.
Location
The Spieker Aquatics Complex is located on Bancroft Way, between Dana St. and Ellsworth St. To access the locker room and pool, enter the Recreational Sports Facility (RSF) locker rooms and proceed south toward the back of either the women’s, men’s, or universal locker room. Use the doors at the back of the locker room to access the pool deck.
Parking is available along Bancroft Way and in the metered spots in the RSF parking garage.
